I’ve taken a few photos so far, during my short time with the Carbon 1 MKII from Carbon Mobile. Here is a small gallery of photos taken in a point and shoot situation.

The camera functions and setting are a this stage a little basic. Signs of a company in it’s startup stage. I’ve been reliably informed that there will be updates and additional features to the camera software over the coming months during debugging and development.

At first glance the camera’s photo and video quality could use some improvement. While the shutter speed is quite snappy, the auto focus lags somewhat and the image quality is at times inconsistent.

Portrait mode isn’t great but does give the desired effect for the occasional selfie. It’s worth noting that image quality greatly improves in HDR mode. Low light performance could be improved.

You can access the camera from the home screen icon or double tap on the power button.

I will be completing some camera comparisons later, while I compile my full review.
